ClubLexus First Impressions
Lexus had one base model on hand to test, drive, and photograph. One would be hard-pressed to call this front-wheel-drive Wind Chill Pearl colored TX basic thanks to all the standard features and the comfortable NuLuxe faux leather seating. The second-row bench seat was easy to fold forward and the Lexus Interface touchscreen remains pretty snappy overall. As the lightest model at the press drive, it drove quite well with that turbo motor providing ample power. That said, the base stereo is mediocre and the 350 drivetrain isn’t as smooth as we’d like to experience in a Lexus.
