LS500 no longer reading speed limit signs, only stop signs
I have a 2018 LS 500 and about six weeks ago it stopped reading the speed limit signs. I haven’t made any changes to the settings. It does read stop signs and yield signs but that’s it. Ever heard of such a problem?
Im using Apple car play with Waze.
I rarely engage anything outside of the apps on it.
Does what I need. I do see "Signs" but never any changes as the software is out of date.
Concierge HVAC and seat cool/heat is "Set and forget". Thus never needs adjusting!
Are you running any of the paid apps via Lexus per subscription?
Personally I miss having the very remote start but 90% of the time the fob does what I need.

Quick read of the TIS information for the RSA system showed that the Stop, Yield and Do Not Enter recognition is performed by the RSA ECM and that the Speed Limit recognition uses those and also the cars Navigation system. A note was provided that described that it may not accurately display a Speed Limit if the navigation system has outdated information. General consensus on Club Lexus is that updating any automobile's native navigation system data is not cost effective in light of all the cell phone apps available. Entry goes on to give all the usual cautions that damaging or obscuring the camera might cause erroneous displays, but I would think those conditions would also fail to display the Stop, Yield and Do Not Enter notifications.
