i guess that's just matter of time. they must be eye all the money mb, bmw, and audi are making.
porsche is going to be in a scramble for the next few years. trying to find their paths again and back to good profit. i just hope they don't deviate too much from their original DNA. recently they have been in so much panic, i am a little concerned... just look at how many 992 gt3rs they have pumped out...

This will bring them back to good profitability. Sportscars are a tough sell, unless you're at the ultra exotic level. In turn this will allow them to develop more sportscars.
^
I think they made as many as they could with NA motor.
Rumors are that 992.2 GT3RS will be Turbo/Hybrid.
yup, next gt3rs is going to be turbo i think.
still though, there are way too many 992 gt3rs now... you see them everywhere and it loses the exclusivity factor

porsche did very well previously with a good balance of 911 vs other models. now they are tipping that balance trying to keep shareholders happy.

They were the most profitable bec of the crazy margins on the 911 and then selling the Macan / Cayenne. They pissed it all away by investing BILLIONS into EVs and didn’t invest anything into ICE based cars. I mean how stupid do you have to be!
So now they have no ICE Cayman / Boxster. The EV version is cancelled.
The ICE Macan is over a decade old while the EV version is not selling.
Taycan EV is a sales disaster.
Cayenne EV is coming for some reason lol
911 is chugging along due to the GT3 aura thanks to Prueniger.
China sales are weak.
I don’t see a very rosy picture for Porsche in next 5 years.
Without the “engine” there is nothing much that makes them any more special as a car vs anything else but they cost tens of thousands more.
Ferrari somehow is following suit with an EV and will lose BILLIONS bec of it also…..but they have the $$$ to burn.
So GT3's are harder to get than GT3RS's now, and the dealers' markup are higher?
from what i see, ADM has come down a bit on the 3RS compared to when it first came out. but yes the number of 992 3RS is much higher than 991

Porsche will be fine. They can't grow in volume without these SUVs and there's nothing wrong with pleasing shareholders if they make great products. When they start making 911s from an Audi TT platform or RS5 or whatevers, then people have something to complain about.

My friend the issue is they are not making products that ppl want to buy and made terrible decisions by investing in EVs while cancelling successful ICE cars like the Macan/Cayman/Boxster.
Their stock price is down over 20% in past year and they have posted billions in losses.
They are trying to pivot back into ICE development but that will take sometime meanwhile they are losing sales and their EVs are not doing well especially in markets like China.
The 911 volume is capped by the factory where they are made but they have steered more volume to US in past few years as other parts of the world, demand has softened for sports cars.
Again - Porsche has a LOT of work to do but they really messed up with their poor decision making on the Macan and Boxster/Cayman.
