I was wondering if you guys can help my buddy out. He's about to get a full paint job on his car and wanted to know if there is reputable shop in the bay area that can do that clear bra thingy for the front bumper, lip, and any part necessary. He wants to keep the front from chipping from rocks and stuff. I remember I read somewhere here on the forum about some members getting it done. If any can please let me know, thanks guy!

How's the install, price, quality, and do they do just Lexus? My mom's car might need this done. Is there any discount for CL member? And lastly where are they located? Thanks alot Rominl and Redgs4!
I also wanted to ask, what should he get covered? Or is that what determines the price?

they do everything, i beleive they started with infiniti and they also do tinting?
i forgot about the discount already, but you can always mention clublexus and see
they are in south san francisco i believe.
yes, how much you cover will determine how much you pay. usually people do hood, bumper, side mirrors. headlights and fogs also
I can vouch for Sam. I had him clearbra my vertex bumper and that took a loooonnng time... started at like 2ish and ended near 8. Even when I had a slight problem when I was down in SJ, he came down to take a look at it. He did a great job. Oh yea fyi, he told me of how a porsche dealership called him up because word was he was one of the best, and they had him wrap a WHOLE carrera GT. The whole fricken car!!... ended up takin him 5 days... but man what a resume...
Kool thanks guys, I'll definetly call Sam up. I also heard that if you just get a paint job, its not recomended to get the clear bra right away. Is that true?
Lexant - Kool thanks bro, how much did it cost for your clear bra?
after you get a paintjob, it's recommended not to get a clearbra because if for any reason you take it off, it'll take the paint with it. Me, i just put it on after i had the paintjob, i dont' plan on removing the clearbra at all, and even if i were to, i'd be painting it again anyways. For my Vertex bumper, took him a while, charged only around 600, that's with clearbra on the side skirts and rear bumper, the parts where mudguards would be.

Yes, that is true. 2 weeks might be enough but 1 month for the paint to completely cure is the best bet. Some can't have the car sitting around for a month though. The wait has little to do with the install. It is more for later when you need to replace/remove the film. If the paint is not suitablly cured, some of it may come off along with the film.
Sam installed the clearbra for my IS. He uses Venture Shield which is better than the ClearShield material. The guy who installed my previous clearbra used ClearShield and it takes the paint with it (even if cured) if you ever need to remove it. Venture Shield won't. Sam is very attentive to details, takes pride in his work and is a great guy to talk to. His G35 is pretty sweet also
hey sam, thanks for the info, i am sure that's very helpful to everyone here! once i get my body kits painted, i will probably need your help on some wrapping
