That does seem pretty steep for an extended warranty. I wonder if that's an actual Lexus VSA that they are quoting you since the type says "Premier" but Lexus's VSAs are Platinum/Gold/Powertrain (https://www.lexusfinancial.com/us/en...greements.html) I'd hit up Troy Dietrich from Toyota of Greenfield and and ask for a quote. I bought my Platinum VSA from him back in 2019 and it was much better pricing than my local dealers, and from what I can find he's still selling Lexus VSAs. His email is tdietrich@toyotaofgreenfield.com

It's Lexus of Tampa Bay / AutoNation but they said it's valid at ANY Lexus dealer. Mind posting how much you paid for the Platinum VSA? thanks!!

That is way high. You can lease an entire car for less. Most extended warranties are around $1500-2500. Really not needed for most Toyota/Lexus's.

This is an AWFUL offer. I paid $3460 for a total of 10 years, 125,000 miles, with $0 deductible direct via Lexus. This effectively works out to an extra 6 years, and 75,000 miles from the original bumper to bumper.

When I bought my 2017 with 54000 from a Lexus dealer, they offered me a 4 year, 50k mile $0 deductible Lexus extended warranty for $5600. I told her no way in hell would I pay that for an extended warranty. She asked what it would take for me to buy it (and I am not an extended warranty person) so I told her half that price and after going back and forth, they sold it to me for $2800 because I wasn't budging and quite honestly thought that was still too high.........until 2 weeks later when I had to bring the car in for the a/c servos. The bill on that repair was $2600 so I am back to even. Any more warranty work that it may need for the next 3.5 years will be to my advantage.

Back in 2019 my cost for the 10 year/100k mile Platinum warranty was $2505 for my 2016 IS350. Things have likely gone up in price since then but I doubt anywhere near $6.3k.

That’s the issue. My local dealer is an Autonation dealer too and they offered me a warranty that they said “was better than the Lexus one”. It was double the price and the moment I read the terms it didn’t even cover half the stuff the Lexus one does. Don’t believe them

Since AutoNation has so many auto brand dealerships they don't "feel" like an authentic / dedicated "Lexus" shop. In fact employees get shifted around from brand to brand, across the street / town, etc. BUT, i don't mind the service for oil changes coz u get lotsa food & drinks & complimentary car wash! OK way off topic now!! lol

Way too much money for a warrant on a car that's claim to fame is reliability. I wouldnt even consider one over $1500

I bought a 6 year 80K mile Platinum (bumper to bumper) warranty for my Highlander Platinum because of all the cameras and sensors. I got it from a secondary dealer online and paid about $2K. for it back in 2021. I have never needed it and while I thought it about for the 2025 IS 350 F sport, decided that this is a reliable platform in it's last year of sale, so skipped it. Hopefully I don't rue that decision.

I hate to say you may have grossly overpaid as well.

I purchased a Extra Care Platinum, $0 deductible, 100,000 mile, 10 year plan for a 2022 Highlander Platinum AWD for $1360.00 in May of 2025

I had my 2015 IS250 from 2017 -> 2023 from 10K to 130K miles-- I did not have 1 issue that required warranty except for annoying rattling in the B pillar or the plastic black piece in the sunroof came off which I think I could have put in myself. Never had the issue with the radio either which I think was resolved 2015 moving forward.

Extended warranty is not needed for this car, I would go as far as to say it's a scam
