2013 RX350 iPhone/iPod issue

I'm not aware of free firmware updates to Nav, etc over my many years with Lexus, except for one on the RX having something to do with scrolling if I remember that thread from a few years ago. 2013s received the whole new Enform App Suite, so there are certainly changes in the firmware from the 2010-12 -- how much or exactly where that could be and it's effect on phone support could be debated forever, but it's why I'm very specific when I talk about these subjects on my MY, Nav or not, and ML or not.
FWIW, I had Nav on my 2006 RX400h with pretty early Bluetooth support for any car. My original iPhone, iPhone 3, and then iPhone 4 worked with it, along with each iOS version and release. The iPhone was not even announced when I purchased my RX400h in 2005, and while it was a bit strange at times (like an odd squeal when I dialed out each time), it did just fine for placing and receiving calls. There were no advanced features like contact transfer, BT streaming, etc back in 2005, so even though my newer phones gained capability, I was limited in what I could use until my new 2013 arrived. Only major issue over the years I can remember was with Bluetooth support in iOS at one point -- that was helped with a "dot" release update to iOS a few weeks after it was identified. My Lexus and iPhone support has been very painless from my point of view, so I will be extremely disappointed if it's anything other than "simple" when I receive my new one next week.

Anita, yes, my alarm went off at 11:55PM this morning -- oops -- last night. That's either dedication or stupidity on my part, but you don't need to say which please. ...and assuming I get delivery as planned, I'll have the review up by the 22nd. Already my plan, as I have a checklist of what I need to try out and will be traveling the following week. More later!

I'm also having issues with my iPhone 4S and my new 2013 RX Bluetooth Audio. Everything connects fine, but the system will not let me make an album selection -- it only allows a selection at the song level. At the album level, there are no little sidebar arrows as illustrated in the Navigation system manual. I've tried everything I can think of to activate this functionality...but nothing has worked.
If I connect the iPhone via the USB cable, I can click on Browse and get to the album selection this way -- but I often want the iPhone in my purse/pocket and don't want to bother with the cable. Interestingly enough...the manual doesn't even speak to having a "Browse" button when connected via USB...so I'm wondering what's up.
Any thoughts?
