Default Can 2 iPhones/iPods be connected at the same time?

Since I have some old iPods hanging around, I was wondering if I could dedicate one to car use and always have it plugged into one of the USB ports in the glove. Since I'm lazy, it probably would only get synced for new music every 6 months or so (if that). My iPhone is always synced.

My question, is if I have the iPod always connected and then the iPhone connects via BT whenever I get in the car, will it give me a choice to play music from either one? Or do I have to disconnect the iPod in order to use the iPhone as the audio source?

Thanks.

I have my car setup just like that. I have an old iPod (Old iPhone) in the console connected to the USB and my Phone (iPhone) is connected via BT. To prevent any unwanted connections I charge my phone (iPhone) through a CLA

The BT will connect automatically same goes with the iPod and there will be a source for each device.
