When my phoen is on bluetooth usually about an hour into driving the bluetooth will disconnect and the radio will turn off. (has happened a few times already).

When my phone is plugged in via USB, it will usually happen every 5 minutes.

What am I doing wrong?

 

Don't you mean iPhone Error? Nothing in you post says anything about an iPod. But anyway I will assume you mean iPhone.

I have had an iphone connected to my car via usb and sometimes i get disconnected, i found out that I need to replace the usb cord witha new one and that fixed the issue.

Regarding blutooth....there should be a setting somewhere on the iphone you would need to set under blutooth settings that helps solve this issue. I dont remember exactly maby another forum member can chime in.
