Bad cv boot at 90K?

Hey man the CV boot just holds grease in there and keeps contaminants from screwing up your joint.
Yeah it can tear if a rock hits it or whatever. Then when you look behind your wheel there will be grease splattered everywhere. I had some recent experience with this and if one boot goes out on one side be checking the other side because once they reach their life expectancy they can go out at any moment and you want that grease in there, not all over the place. lol
The boot will not make a *click* sound since it is not made of metal. Maybe somethine else?

If your CV joint is clicking it is already gone and needs to be replaced but if it is in front on a GS you have something else wrong. I would take a look at the tie rods and ball joints. Those are common to go around 120,000 miles if you have rough roads.

I agree with Guru and the GS is rear wheel drive. I check all the suspension components first and make sure to check the sway bar bracket and mounting bracket. I found some of the sway bar bracket bolts loose on Bit and 1Sick cars.

But make sure you check the right front wheel bearing too. If the wheel bearing goes bad, it will make clicking noise on turn and some type of roaring noise on straight line. Good luck.
