Default Fried my AUX port

So I'm pretty sure I fried my AUX port and gonna need a new one. The end that plugs into the phone fell into the cigarette lighter and I'm thinking shorted out/damaged the aux port because it won't go into AUX mode anymore. I found an AUX port on Sewell but its the updated one which I don't really need. I just want the original one... Is there a huge price difference and where can I get one?

edit: I think I found the part. Can someone verify it is part number 86190C? Anyone ever remove one?

Try checking the Radio/NAV fuse. It should be the one under the passenger glove box.

Is the aux port what's inside the center console? Idk exactly what happened but mine just stopped working, thought it was the aux cord but went through 3 different ones and completely stopped working. I'd also like to know how to fix.. Or at least the part that I need to replace maybe?

Hello guys, Search up Car FM transmitter kit on ebay or amazon. That thing plugs right into the cig lighter charging port. you can use 3.5mm aux cable and transmit music to radio. there are BT versions too. they are around $20. It will save you some money. Original aux port is not that cheap.

I initially looked to see if there was a fuse specifically for the AUX port but there wasn't. I don't think it could be the Radio/NAV fuse because my radio works perfectly fine which shouldn't be the case if it's fuse blew. AUX port on order and being shipped so hopefully thats the only issue. Still trying to figure out how to remove the existing AUX port.

I hate to tell you, but you likely toasted the head-end... replacing the jack will not fix this. Be glad that's all that is not working.

Turns out we're BOTH wrong! lol

It was a slight pain in the *** getting to the AUX port connector but when I finally did, I discovered that I ordered the AUX with an 8 pin connector and the one I had was the 4 pin one. Different part numbers and everything. Apparently Sewell doesn't sell the old AUX ports and only the updated one. Anyways, frustrated, I put everything back together and figured I'd try the AUX port one last time. Viola!!!!! It magically starts working Now I can return the one I ordered and get my hundred dollars back! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

Updated AUX Port with 8 pin connector: PN 86190-48010
Original AUX Port with 4 pin connector: PN 86190-53020
