Last weekend kicked off the start of racing season in the USA with the 24 Hours of Daytona. Unfortunately for us, Lexus isn’t fielding a car in the United Sportscar Championship. That sucks, because the RC-F looks might fine when dressed up in racing gear.

Scrounged this one up off Reddit earlier today and it got me thinking: How weird would it be to drive around in a golden Lexus all day? Someone, somewhere, is having fun in this car.

That’s right, the engine for the latest Lexus performance car is already here–and it’s been running harder than ever. Lexus wasn’t shy in pushing the engine through the high attitudes of Pikes Peak and long brutal hours of Thunderhill. At this point, it’s clear , this new power plant is track proven.

The guys over at Lexus must never sleep. The brand new NX is supposed to be making it’s live debut soon, and already there are spy shots floating around of some new Lexus product from Japan.

The official construction for the future assembly line of the first U.S produced Lexus has begun. Toyota’s new plant in Kentucky is the first milestone for localized manufacturing from Lexus.
