Default wheel lock question again...comments pls...

if a thief takes 30 seconds to jack up a car, and 30 seconds to take off 4 regular lugnuts, and 30 seconds to take off 1 wheel lock(total 1min 30 sec), would putting on 5 wheel locks on a wheel take the thief 3 minutes to steal a wheel? thats twice the amount of time. if so, i would rather put 5 wheel locks on my car. the extra 6 min it takes for the theif to steal my set of wheels, maybe someone will drive by or a security guard will cruise by or something and they will leave my wheels and take off. any comments? thanks.

I wouldn't consider it, but that's just my opinion. Just make sure your wheels are covered by insurance.

1.5 or 3 min

i dont think its gonna make much difference.

remember they still have to jack the car up so the 1.5 min doesn't change much...

if they want it they'll take it i guess

I've heard from several different shops and wheel people that doing all lock nuts isn't a good idea...

And like others have said, if they want it, they'll take it....I've had to take off lock nuts before and it's not that hard...especially when you have a set of speciality removal chucks...
