Default just got my wheels.

no pics yet but i ahve a question, is it ok to use a wheel lock on every lug (buddy of mine only had the normal 1 lock and some jackasses stole all of his regular lugs causing his wheel to snap off while he was driving.)? in cant afford to have my wheels stolen you know what im saying. ive heard that wheel locks arent as strong as regular lugs. is there anyone on here doing a pure lock set up?

You can do all locks but typically only 1 is required.
In your friend's case the locks still did it's job.
Make sure you use anti-seize on the stud and torque them down properly to correct spec and you should not have any locks or fasteners break on you.

yeah which is why i want locks on all my lugs, i dont want my wheel snapping off while im driving because some *** tried to steal my wheels but couldnt. and thanks, only problem is now i ahve 5 packs of 4 lugs and each pack has a different key. so i will ahve one thats different than the rest on every wheel... actually now that i think about it thats the best set up possible unless is did each one different on every wheel.

Project Kics makes a 7 sided lugnut set for around $150-200. Should be able to keep 99% of wheel thefts from happening.

Don't use all locks that's pretty stupid IMO you'll have a bunch of wheel lock keys and I'd you do loose 1 your sol I've had to break a couple off some expensive rims at discount tire and it's not worth it. Get spline lugs no theif is gonna carry the key around for splines.

Bad idea. If someone really wants your wheels, they can remove them even if there are locks on there. Many youtube videos on this. Also, the keys for the wheel locks don't tend to be that strong and can break easily.

i have a lock on each of my lugs.. well i did on my last sc that i just sold.. i will be going the same route with my new one once i put my rims on. and i will be getting an alarm system with a tilt feature. so if the car is jacked up it will set the alarm off.. anything that slows a thief down and draws attention helps

I went to sears and they were able to remove the old wheel lock. You can also hammer a socket on there that you wouldn't mind losing.

Its not hard removing lugnuts/locks with no keys and it doesnt even require a special tool or socket to do either. I won't mention or post what is used but anyone with a socket wretch can do it. I figured out how when i lost my lugnut key and I was surprised/shocked how easy and simple it was.

Alarm with tilt sensors and bags will do a better job protecting your wheels lol

best anti theft u can get is an alram, dogs and a gun... i have all of these and someone still managed to get four of 5 wheel locks off... luckily my dog is only 11 months and weighs almost 100lbs so they ran.

funny thing is my dog probably just wanted to play with him.
