HUB center ring!!???

Guys i need a brief explanation on what the HUB CENTER RINGS are for and what important role it plays for the wheels and car.

Hub centric rings center the wheel on the hub. This is important to prevent vibration and to make it easier to install the wheels

depending on what wheels you go with you might not need the hub centering rings !!

Hub Rings

Hub centric rings are insirted into the center bore of your wheel and make the center a smaller diameter then what it is machined to. Many wheels are machined with only one center bore and require a hub ring to make the fit hub centric rather then lug centric.

should i be concern with the hub centric ring if i were to use H&R 5mm spacer?

Do you have hub centric rings now? You will lose the hub-centricity with the 5mm spacer.

hub-rings is needed to prevent wobbling.

you can barely keep a centering ring on with a 5mm spacer, but you can keep it on. but my rotor hat is slightly larger than stock, so it can be much easier if you're at stock.

and the rings. here's a simple try: the middle of your wheel has a hole behind the center cap that fits on a ring protruding from your rotors. many aftermarket wheels will have a larger diameter hole that no longer sits snug around the ring, so the centering ring fills in the space between.

I don't know about aftermarket hub centering rings but I tried a 5mm spacer on my rear wheel and that hub lip was gone. I don't know if the centering rings' lips extend farther out so that there would be a little left after the spacer.
