According to a Lexus Facebook Group post a mid-life update for the UX is rumoured for August 2022. The timing seems about right for Lexus product life cycles. I expect it's too early for any details but I think it's something to watch out for.
I bought an IS250 in 2009 and was glad to have waited for the facelift improvements. Can't remember the details but I'm fairly sure the changes went beyond styling tweaks.
I can't imagine the UX will get a touch infotainment screen like that in the new NX as that would surely require a major redesign of the dashboard. But when I posted this same message on https://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/133046-midlife-facelift/ one reply said the facelift will include a heavily revised interior with touchscreen but may keep the touch pad as well similiar to the ES.
An owner in the UK had a Lexus dealer ask them if they wanted to change their MY70 UX for the upgraded model due out about August. The upgrade would have a touch sceen and the touch pad replaced with seat heater switches. Also cd player gone.
This bulletin can be downloaded from the above link. I think it's for the UK market but I'm sure there will be a similar document for other markets especially the much larger USA market.
The changes will be introduced into production in August 2022. The key changes are 8" or 12.3" touch screen multimedia with the Lexus Link Connect and Lexus Link Pro systems as used in the NX. The touch pad and cd/did player has been removed.

If they do add a touchscreen, I wonder if they'll reconfigure the layout. Where the screen is today is way too far for ease of use. I noticed that the pictures in the PDF don't show any changes - hopefully it'll be different.
I wonder how difficult and expensive it'd be to retrofit this into a pre-facelift car.

Before seeing this bulletin I wondered if a touch screen could be introduced. But I've read that when a touch screen was introduced into the ES the screen was moved 4.3" closer to the driver. In the UX the screen must also be moved. According to the bulletin in the August 2022 UX changes the screen size will be increased from 7" to 8" or from 10.3" to 12.3" depending upon trim level. I guess the aspect ratio will also change so that it's a squarer shape.

hello (1st message :P). I've visited a Lexus dealer today and they told me that indeed the screen is being moved forward. Getting a quotation tomorrow, expected delivery in September/October if I decide to buy it.
More detail and photos in these two links. The facelift includes many more changes than previously disclosed. For example, increased body rigidity, suspension mods, quieter run flat tyres and an under body panoramic view helping the driver to understand road surface conditions and tyre position below the vehicle!
I wonder what the odds are that the US will get 360 camera and/or Levinson audio?
I can see the 360 coming to the states but the ML will probably not. This is suppose to be Lexus "Econo" box like they did with the CT. Lesser feature than their oversea counterpart. I would love an ML UX.
