I lost one of my key fobs - it has to be somewhere in my house because I used it to drive home. Is there any kind of tracker/locator that I can use?
I suspect the FOB is passive until receiving a query from the car. I would search for someone that has built a device that captures the transmission & response signals. Then you might be able mimic the car's signal to get a response. In the end, it will probably be cheaper to just buy a replacement FOB.
There is no built in tracker. No key in the world, to my knowledge, is that sophisticated, at least not yet. You could get something like a Tile, which clips to your keychain and can be tracked and it beeps.

I don't keep my fob on my keychain because I like to just put it in a pocket when driving and my keychain is bulky. It just seems to me that some kind of tracker app from Lexus would not be that difficult to develop.
