Anyone know is Lexus is still planning on adding Android Auto update to the 19 UX? I have a 19 UX250H and heard it was suppose to come close the the end of 2020?

 

I am interested in this also have you had any updates or information regarding this since your original post?

 

I read that there is an upgrade charge for vehicles that don't have it. See the attached link. I have my 10K service coming up and will inquire when I drop it off. But I don't know if it's worth it.

Unfortunately, that's Australia. I haven't heard of them offering an upgrade in the USA. It shouldn't make a difference, but you know how these things go. I'll be interested in the response you get at your service visit.

I have Android Auto on the 2020 UX250H, but I cannot enable Waze only Google Maps Navigation. prefer Waze. so I am not using the Android Auto.

sticking to my mobile for Waze.

 

Do you have the "Lexus App" (black with silver Lexus logo) running on your phone?
The former "Lexus App Suite 2.0" has migrated over and will provide the connection for Waze.

 

i don't have the app in Singapore.

Thank you so much, it helped me in enabling waze to my Lexus UX250h (year 2019) android auto which was very recently installed (free of charge).

 

Did you have your 10k service yet? I was just curious if an Android Auto upgrade is available in the USA.

 

No luck, sales guy wasn't aware of of an update at this time. I asked the service tech when dropping the car off and he never got back to me. It skipped my mind to follow up with him since I had a $308.00 bill to replace a tire due to a nail in the tire sidewall.

2019ers will probably never get AA which sucks since I'm an Android user. I was able to download the Carplay firmware file for my friend's NX a year ago to add carplay, thanks to a few folks over a Toyota forum. Keeping my eyes open.

 

I asked the local dealer about it yesterday. You'd think I was asking for nuclear launch codes.

 

I finally remembered to email Lexus Customer Service. Not the answer I was hoping for, but it's better than the shrugs I get from the dealers.
