The Lexus UX - a solid contender for pole position in the luxury subcompact crossover segment. See what the newest crossover for the brand has to offer the public inside.

While the new Lexus UX is a nice addition to the Lexus lineup, I wish the company would also consider adding a nice european style sport wagon. I think there is still a market in the US for this type of vehicle.

I found a nice video this morning. I'm not sure if I see a point in either the UX or the NX. You can possibly compare the Toyota models to the Lexus models at this point. I mean, the CHR has like 2 options coming in at $23k. The UX has to have more options especially when you consider the f sport package. There is only a $2k difference from the CHR to the Base RAV4.
Here are the 2 possibilities.
1. The UX Will be prices $2k below the NX base model. $34k. With an F-Sport or Hybrid option raising it to $39k (there will be no All Wheel drive option)
2. The UX will release at $34k with a boatload of options. Hybrid, Fsport, Nav, Comfort, blah blah. Raising the price to $45k. (I also still feel there will not be an all wheel drive option)
The most probable option would be 1.
Thanks for reading my 2 cents.

Could not figure the placement for the UX and NX until I heard yesterday, the UX will be 5 inches shorter than the NX and the hybrid combined MPG will be 38. If only a plug-in hybrid like Toyota has and we buy one.

I had no idea something new like this is coming out. What a perfect car, and it makes total sense...
My mom was "complaining" somewhat about her CT a couple weeks ago, and mentioned the low(er) ground clearance in the winter - I'm in Canada, our winters suck ***** and TONS of snow. This would be perfect, she loves the little CT, one for parking, two for MPG and three, its a Lexus!
I have to show her this thing!

I really don't see this happening anytime soon. There isn't enough demand from European customers to justify an investment into a sport wagon. In the US, sport wages sales are eclipsed by SUVs, they look "nicer", roomier trunk and more comfortable. The SUV trend has been upward for a while.

My wife and I are very interested in buying this car, but our main concern is the trunk space. Our first son is due earlier this year and we plan to have two kids. I'm not sure if the trunk space will accommodate our needs when we go on a trip to San Francisco, San Diego, and Las Vegas. I checked out Toyota C-HR's trunk space and there's plenty of room for a stroller, but I'm not sure if I can fit any more else.
I've been looking for pictures and videos online of the trunk space but they're impossible to find. It seems Lexus wasn't allowing the media to take pictures/videos of the trunk space because it's not something to brag about.
