In anticipation of the arrival of my new 550h+, can folks share pics of their charging setups? Thoughts on best configurations, products, vendors, apps, etc.?
I have two (2) 240 outlets on the garage wall w/ NEMA 14-50 plugs. One is the for my PHEV and one is for the 550h+ when it arrives. I use the BMW flexible fast charger and have ordered the Lexus equivalent given its low profile design ( https://www.lexus.com/My-Lexus/resources/charging-cable ) also have a 240 outlet outside for if friends of family need to charge, plug in an RV etc.
For my 550h+, I have just been using the charger that came with the car. I currently have to keep the car outside. I plan to install a level 2 charger if/when I can clear out my garage enough to fit the TX in.
But for my wife's NX 450h+, we had a ChargePoint level 2 charger installed. Our local electric company essentially paid for the charger and install. It is hard-wired to the electric panel. I have a friend who has a level 2 charger that plugs into a 240 V socket. Works the same. But was helpful to him when he wanted a new charger. Old one had crap software and company went out of business.
The company that installed the ChargePoint charger said that is the only brand they work with because they have had so few problems with it. Doesn't mean there aren't other good chargers, but they like this one. We've had no trouble with it for the 7-8 months we've had it. Software seems fine. I have set the charger to schedule rather than using the car to schedule.
Got the new 550h+ home today and it actually came with the wall mounted Lexus branded charging module that uses either 110v or 240v as user NACS had linked [ https://www.lexus.com/My-Lexus/resou...harging-cable]. Was that standard before 2026 or did I get lucky? Contractor installs the 240v this week so it's looking good. Side note: Made it the 30ish miles from the dealer on battery only-loving it!
That is new… Our 2025 that we took delivery of in early October came with only the 110 option however our sales rep bought us the combination charger and included it with our purchase so we have an extra110 that we plan on leaving with our extended family out of state so that we can slow charge in the evenings there as none of them have 220 circuits (and we don’t have to unmount ours and take it with us each time). Post pictures if you don’t mind as I’m curious if it is the same flex model we got.
Lexus TX 550h+ level 2 charging setup
Sorry for the delay, but here is the Charger that came with the 2026 550h+. Works like a champ and interestingly-we get 43 miles per full charge (~3hrs) vs. the ~33 we had been told.
That is the same flex charger that our dealer bought for us… However, ours did not come with the cord hanger that is shown in your picture. Interestingly, enough, the 110 charger that we received came with a cover for the plug but the 220 did not have a plug cover, but I found one on Amazon for a few bucks that works very nicely to keep debris out of it as it hangs on a hook next to a number of tools in the garage by my air compressor.
also, congrats on the increased range. We are in the low 30s (in our ‘25) which I’m convinced is directionally related to the number of hills that my wife drives up over and down going to and from her work. Admittedly, I’m not aware of a larger battery in the ‘26 versus ‘25 model but maybe someone will prove me wrong.

Sorry-I bought the hanger off of Amazon, it did not come from the dealer/Lexus.
