Question TX500h - Wait for 2026 model?

Ten days ago we put down a deposit on a Nightfall Mica 2025 TX500h Luxury model. The dealership sales manager said they are working at getting one but it will take a while. I have heard from some buyers waiting 4-6 months to get their desired Luxury with their desired color.

My question is how long should we wait until considering a 2026 model? At some point (September?) I want to look at the 2026 if the price is about the same. With the tariff situation it will unknown until then.

Thoughts and opinions appreciated.

I am in the market for a Lexus TX500h sport, Yesterday on YouTube a video was posted of a 2026, Granted, a lot of these video can be misleading. But I understand that there will be some changes and I am going to wait for the 2026 which I believe will be out in the fall.

We started looking during the time when the TX‘s were on stop sale due to the recall. We were finally able to place a deposit in November 2024 for a 550h+ and still have not taken possession of it so I’d say your lead time may put you into the 2026 models regardless. Hope that helps.

If you can wait, order a new one...pricing will not be a major issue since car assembled in Indiana......

I purchased our 550h+ after an exhaustive nationwide search, calling over 20+ dealers trying to find one in stock.

The Lexus site shows that there are lots in stock around the country. But I found that when I actually called the physical dealership, those cars were either already sold or in transit but presold to people who had been waiting.

I found exactly 1 in stock and I jumped on it. It was a white one that had come in as black. A guy bought it for his wife. She said absolutely no to a white, as she's always had black cars.

I got lucky and called the day after they declined to buy it.
