As some of the orders are now being transitioned to the 2023 model year, does anybody have a sense of when 2023 production actually begins?

I'm assuming there are no real changes in the packages otherwise...

Yeah, that's a good question. I have an NXh on order since April. What I'm wondering is if dealers are going to try to pass on higher cost of 2023 models when I had a deal for a 2022.

2023 NXs will start to be built late October and will be a carry over, so no major changes

I hope the 450+ at least will have more options like a Pano roof and Mark Levin System.

I've said this before and want to write this here as well.
The US NHTSA has finally approved matrix LED headlights in the US. In Canada, they were legal for a while.
The decision was made in mid-February, so didn't make it to the 2022 NX, but did make it on the Canadian tri-LED setup.

The Canadian NX has really "Quad-LED" headlights - 3 low-beam diodes, and 1 high-beam diode, versus the US has 3 diodes and a blank for where the Canadian high-beam LED diode is. The High-beam LED is the matrix lighting system, and is pretty amazing. I'd wager to say that it's probably one of the best lighting systems of any car I've seen, including most BMWs and Mercedes. It's incredibly bright, and with the AHB (Automatic high-beams) can illuminate the road in oncoming traffic too. Lexus refers to this as "shaded high-beams" - basically it can turn off parts of the LED (there are actually many smaller LEDs in the high-beam 'emitter') and this enables the high-beam to illuminate "around" oncoming traffic. Works amazingly. That and overall the high-beam performance is superior to the US-spec tri-beam LED headlights.

In any case - I hope that this comes to the US market, as I feel that it really adds a lot to this vehicle.

The 2023 model in 450h+ will have electric seat at the back. Right now, you have to manually pull down the back seat

Another difference is the tires, I cannot recall what it is now but I think they choose different type of tires (still run flat) for 2023 model.
Still no ML speakers and moon roof for 450h+

Not sure about the states, my order was moved to my23 and I have been told to re-do the paperwork with new MSRP when it becomes available.

No major changes, but hopefully smooth out some first year problems. I fear it will be a double-edged sword because
2023 will likely have a price hike.

I'm in Taiwan, ordered my nX350h (pretty much fully loaded, can't recall the equivalent trim in N Am) back in late March with a custom colourway (dark silver and deep red interior). Back then they already expected my order would be transitioned to MY23, but they didn't mention any potential price adjustments ... so I hope they don't hike it up for us?

If Lexus rolls your 2022 NX order to 2023 production
-will the packages stay the same feature by feature?
-how much will the price increase?
-how much will your finance/lease rate increase?
-will your perceived place in line remain?
I see a real problem here!!!

Has it been confirmed that 2023 will see a price increase?

My SA has mentioned there will be a "slight" MSRP increase due to inflation. How much? We won't know until the prices come out later this month.

I originally placed my order in April with 2022 pricing and rates at that time. Unfortunately my delivery will be for a 2023 model. So the price and rate will have to be re-calculated. It sucks because the rate now is nearly double of what I locked in with back in April.

Can they do that? I thought there is a contracted quote when we place our deposit??

They can do as they please for a number of reasons:
  1. You ordered a 2022 and will instead get a 2023
  2. You ordered something that hadn't been produced, so the real contract comes when the car is physically on the lot and you sign the purchase order.

I hope it doesn't effect the Government rebate.
