Hey guys just pick up TX 500h I’m wondering has anybody change there oil at 1k? Also curious if dealership will charge me for it since want do before 5k mark.

Long term 500h owner here. Did my break in oil change at 1k, gonna follow the severe usage schedule as well.

If you do want to take it in to get your oil change done, go to a Toyota service department instead, it's usually a couple of bucks cheaper and the same exact parts. And also if you're a Costco member they offer 15% off parts and service.

 

ohh really dint know that! How does it work do I tell them I’m member and show my card? And would this work Lexus dealership for service too if wanted take there.

 

Costcoauto.com put your membership info there and your zip and if there are participating dealers nearby it will email you a voucher you take in. And yes it works with Lexus and you can request as many vouchers as you want, just in case you wanted to get a discount multiple times throughout the week or month.

thank thank you dint even know about it! Wish I knew way before been taking current Lexus 14 rx 350 there with all service maintenance done all its life, it has120k.
