I am a bit confused about when to get my first oil change, some guides say at 1000 miles some say 5000 miles and 10,000 miles the dealer only gives you one inspection and oil change, I think. can someone please let me know what is correct.

the first oil change will carry with it any residue left from manufacturing; get your new motor off to a healthy start and
change the oil and filter at 1000 miles.

 

i did mine at 1000kms, then again at 5300kms, and will do it once more at 10,000km (currently at 7000km)

Oil is cheap and easy to do.
