Default Anyone rubbing after drop and 20" wheel setup??

Anyone experiencing any rubbing with a minor drop and 20" wheels yet?

I have the RSR Downs on my car with 20" vossen cv5's and i keep hearing rubbing when I drive over dips in the road, even with only 1 person in the car.

I haven't gotten my alignment yet, but I don't know if that would be causing the rub. Seems to be happening on the rear passenger side...

You have to be more specific.
What size tires are you running? Also, do you know your wheel offsets?

Running 285/30/20x10.5 in the back and I believe the rear wheel offset is 40.

You're not that aggressive in terms of the offset, but your rear tire is on the fat side. Which is why you rub. Is there a reason why you went with 285 instead of 275?

I was told the 285's had a closer overall diameter than the 275's..

If you don't mind slightly stretched tires, then 235/35/20 front and 275/30/20 would work just as well for AWD. You wont rub with those sizes.

Thanks for the info Snipe, I definitely appreciate it. Guess I'll have to live with the 245/285 setup for now

285 tires actually fit in the rear without rubbing, but I don't think Vossen has the correct offset to accommodate a 285 rear tire. They usually recommend a 275 on their wheels to prevent rubbing.
