Hello everyone, my name is Darren I'm a happy owner of a 2006 gs300 awd. Now here is the situation I've done my research and read most of the posts about the lowering springs for an awd lexus, so I went with the tanabe NF210 specs (f/r 1.3/0.9) once the shop installed them we notice there was an issue the back was tucked and the front end was super high. Now they were not installed backwards and they were labeled correctly..... has anyone had this happen to them or is there a trick to get it right? PLEASE HELP I can't drive it that way.
Make sure the springs are sitting correctly on the base and top for the shock. The springs don't have a flat top and bottom, and if they are rotated, it will sit high. I had a small issue getting this aligned when putting mine in, so that could be the issue if it was overlooked.
It should be pretty obvious if the springs aren't seated correctly. They're either the wrong springs or they're sitting in there totally wrong. My guess is they're the wrong springs. I don't think even a poorly seated spring will give you a 3" lift.
Thank you guys, it seems they sent me the wrong springs I believe these are for a gs430 v8 engine.
i dont think it matters really. i went and checked tanabes site and they list the same part number for the springs for each car (06 300 vs 06-07 430 TNF112)
Oh ok I see that, I'll take them off myself with the mechanic and play with them see what results I get I'll keep you guys posted and I'll upload pictures too.
