Default Rear Strut Replacement

Hi, I,m new I have a 2006 GS430. Installed NF 210 Tanabe springs. Now i have a Bad Rear Strut.Looking to replace should I go OEM or is their a aftermarket replacement? Seen on forum that some have used KYB. but called and they only have for 300. Will it work? I can't seen to find one for the 430. any suggestion on a web site or other struts? Thanks

why settle for regular strut ? get coilover !!! LOL.

used coilover is pretty cheap, or get the new one instead.

How is the ride with coilovers, does it compare to original or better, still want the luxury. Just added springs to removed tire gap. And what brand?

Just buy an OEM shock, and fit it.
If one has went (you don't mention mileage) then it may be prudent to do both together.
I'm assuming your 430 doesn't have the adaptive versions?
If it does, then you really only can replace like with like.

Its does have the AVS suspension(sport and normal swicthing)
with 80K on it. Was plan on charging both rear. Is their a coilover for this car and do you need any other parts to bypass or connect to the AVS?

I think if I were in the same position, I'd only be contemplating swapping the factory AVS for a Tein adjustable one, but even then I'd be doing a lot of research to see what I'd be getting into.
As for dropping the AVS for a regular set of coilovers - ha no feckin' chance!
That'd be sacrilege, and offer no gain, other than "look at me!" - certainly not anything performance or ride quality related for everyday driving.

So long as you're prepared to put OE shocks back in when it comes time to sell, or take a hit on the price because it's not original any more, then at least you've gone into it with your eyes open.

switching out of the AVS system you lose that ability, but your new coilovers would have more adjustability and whatnot. it's not like you completely lose adjustability, you just lose it in the snap of a finger. I heard it wasn't all that good when making turns and stuff anyway.
