Strut replacement question - mixing brands front and rear
I picked up a set of aftermarket KYB G2's for the rear and will be installing them later this week. Would it be OK if i installed OEM's in the front, or should I go ahead and get the aftermarket KYB's for the front as well?
Also, if I were to buy the OEM struts for the front, which parts could I reuse from my old set? would I have to buy new strut bearings, and if I do, can I mix and match the front OEM struts with aftermarket KYB parts?

Those who bought KYB for the RX usually report a stiffer ride. I'm not sure how they would be for an ES, since this is the RX section. Two completely different animals. Try asking or searching in the ES section.
I''ve just done my rears with KYBs. I was really concerned that I would loose the factory plush ride; maybe I haven't owned the RX350 for long enough to really tell but I'm really happy; I can't really tell a difference and certainly nothing jumping out as feeling not right. Fronts might be more of a noticeable change but my factory ones are just fine for now so leaving them.

although all around the ride is comfortable, most likely the way the ride should be with no bouncing & no noises at all coming from the rear of the RX.
Feels more like a newer RX ride now.
