Default Question for owner with UAS

Is there rubbing issue after the UAS bag is installed because I saw a lot of 2GS owner complain for rubbing on their car.

What coilover you got to go with your UAS bag? How was the ride compare to stock suspension and how low can it go? I'm still debating between BC racing and Tein CST. or is there any better choice for maximum comfort and lowness?

Thanks in advance for your input!

I'm running UAS on Megan. Drops to the ground or unti the upper arm touchs.

Decent ride. No rubbing or issues whatsoever.

Not sure if Tein will go low enuf, BC should be good...

Thanks for your input! Your car looks awesome!

However, why does your rear looks lower than your front? Are you able to lower your car more, ie: touching the ground with your front lip?

I heard a 3GS owner complaining about rubbing issue after he install adjustable upper control arm for more negative camber.

Also, which can go lower and better ride megan or bc?

My GS is an awd and the front won't go as low as the 2wd because the upper control arm is beefier and touches the top of the inner fender.... Not sure which go lower but Megan def go as low as the car can go...

^Now could you have cut an opening in the top of the inner fender so the control arm can clear? My buddy with a UCF 20 did the same to get his UAS on stock struts to go lower. Wasnt sure if that was a possible option on the GS.

I would like to go with Megan too but I think it needs modifying to fit UAS? It would be quite troublesome for me to send Megan coilover all the way from Australia to UAS in US and back to Australia.

I actually read that Tanabe would fit UAS without modifying. Does anyone have experience with Tanabe + UAS?

ANYTHING, Megan OR BCR, will need modifying to fit UAS bags.... only way to get UAS bags to fit right out the box, is to use factory shocks (against mine's and possibly a lot of other players reccomendations). You'll most definitely rub if you go the factory struts route. I believe that's what the 2gs owners complain about.... not sure as i've never been a 2gs owner

so whats the benefit using aftermarket shock (beside it can sit lower) if factory shocks actually can do the job as well ?

you gotta understand that factory shocks aren't as durable as these aftermarket ones, the dampering on factory shocks is also not adjustable, so imagine a shock built for ONE setting and ONE setting only, yet you put it out of it's tuned range, and ride on it (how crappy would your lexus' ride feel, YIKES). With aftermarket shocks you can slam it as low as you want without having to worry about the shock blowing and the plus side is it's adjustable, so you can make the ride more comfortable VS OEM (not close to OEM ride at OEM height, but closer towards it). Also, the rubbing issues of running them on stock shocks as I was told by a member in another forum.
