OK, so here is the deal. You can see on the pic the upper arms that were made in order to adjust the camber. They are fully adjustable and they have lock nuts to keep the adjustment in place. Now the problem, we thought the toe adjustment was gonna be enough to adjust it to spec but it came short. The solution, make a arm to replace the toe one. Basically the car will have a fully adjustable toe and camber, kind like a race car deal. We order the parts already we are just waiting for them. It was kind of nice seeing how the camber would go in and out with ease, now I just have to wait for the toe one.m One more week, sorry.
First it was $300.
tHE IT WENT TO $400.
Now you're ordering even more parts....probably more labor costs as well.
Now what is the final cost. Might as well but 2 front tires....it's cheaper than the fix.
What do you mean two front tires??? I dont get it but if you mean back tires lets do the math. I use Michelin pilot sport a/s plus a 200-250 dollar tire ( without installation) but lets keep it at 225 to be on the avarage side (without installation). Before the drop I could go between 40-45 thousand before changing the tires, now i can only go up to 17-20 thousand. Thats 900 dollards when I only use to spend 450. And thats flipping the tires every 8000 miles to keep the wear even wich cost 60 dollards, so 900 plus 60 equals 960 and once again, no installation. Yeah I could go with a crapy cheaper tire but, come on, its a lexus, Thats like filling the tank with cheap gas. Whats the point of having a luxury car if you are gonna treat it like a honda. So, 400 dollards one time that will save me money on the long run without sacrificing comfort and preformance I dont think is a bad investment.
he means buy 2 front tires instead of getting a custom camber kit. a camber kit is needed to keep excessive tire wear.
imo i still think its worth the money. yea it may be cheaper to get 2 tires now but what about later down the road? you'll end up saying money by not having to buy tires as often.
OOOOOHHHHHH, OK. Well, the mod is only for the back my front are perfect, no uneven wear but just front the normal turning left and right. My back ones were the problem, they were getting eat up like candy. For some reason the back drop gave me a very agresive negative camber.
I agree, the camber kit will pay itself in the long run. Also, it would be GREAT for people using bags or people wanting to go lower on there coilovers w/o scarificing camber to go rim tucked.

I wish it were for the front, my fronts are getting murdered!
I'm getting about 15K miles from the front with the uneven wear and more than that for the rear.
That's 2 front tires every other year for about $450. I guess it makes sense to do the fix....if I can find someone down here that I trust to do it.
On my wifes GS we have 19's. No tire wear issues with those.
Sorry about the delay but I've been lazy. Here are the pics after the set up. Tomorrow I'll post the before pics from the bottom, thats were you can really see the difference between the - and the +.
