Its hard to say exactly without looking, but possibly if the spacer size was a perfect fit for the axle spline it would hold in its location better and not wiggle around causing damage to the sensors.

In any case, your work is greatly appreciated!

I just lowered my gs 350 awd on bc coils and 20x9 +38 offset all around and have vibrations.. I don't mind it too much but all the sudden I have a check system warning with two "!" lights.. smh. is it because I need to have the sensors installed? also is this the same as a check engine light? thinking about going to a dealer and having them check but scared to see what they say lol.

Are they the original sensors from your old rims? If not, you might have to get them re-programmed to your car. Don't go to the dealer quite yet, try Discount Tire and they have a tool they use to pair the TPMS sensor to your car and they car tell you if the sensors are bad (because they wont respond to the scan tool). Those warning lights "check system" and "!" probably means your sensors are bad/not reading. Mine is the same way.

nothing really except for putting them in the correct spot. even in the wrong spot the vibrations were minimized because the spacer helped push the axle back to its original position.

How would they be put in the wrong spot? Didn't you just take the nut off the axle, slide axle out of the steering knuckle, put the spacer on the axle spline and reinstall?

Interesting. Are you having the spacer made differently this time?

At first thought, I would think once you tightened the axle nut, it would hold them in place between the axle and steering knuckle, but as the car moves, the axle potentially could have some play so it could pull the axle away from the steering knuckle/spacer, causing the spacer to shift. I would think they would have to be a tight fit to avoid this from happening again.
