Tomorrow I am going to my mechanic to try to solving this problem, this the things that I am going to inspect, any more ideas will be great.
1. seized caliper
2. Dust shield (backing plate) touching the rotor.
3. the back drums "eats" the rotor (https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sus...ml#post1831760).
any more ideas?
Thanks alot

i hear squeaks when driving from the two front brakes. The pads look thick. I took my car to a mechanic and he said the previous brake job was a pad slap and that i need new rotors and pads on the front wheels.

I had some odd noise/vibration from my 2011 with 14k miles when I did mid speed braking.. I pulled the calipers and checked the caliper pins. The right side lower one was stuck. I used 3M Silicon lube on both after I cleaned them. Also pulled the pads and clips. Cleaned the clips and the ends of the pads where they contact the clips. Used some high temp brake grease (sparingly) and put things back together. Did the other side and found the lower caliper pin was barely moving so did that side too.
So the issue is that the pads were hitting the rotors at an angle since one of the pins was “frozen” preventing the caliper from pressing them into the rotor evenly.
New pads and rotors won’t perform as they should if your mechanic doesn’t service the associated parts. Not sure if that’s your issue, but hopefully this helps.
