Default 1999 brake booster vs 2004 brake booster

My brake booster went out on my 99 gs 300. Found a 04 gs 300 wrecked and bought brake booster from it. Will it fit is the question?

From what I see online and Ebay, it appears that this part is usually listed as being for the 98-05 GS. This implies the part is the same for all Gen 2 GS. I'm sure someone else here can confirm. You can google the factory part number and see if it is the same for '04 as it is on your '99.

Yeah it works and has a better design than your 99. I think the 01's to 05's are the better ones. Might be wrong on the year they changed the design, but you should be good with an 04. I believe the only difference is a sensor you have to swap or something like that.Hopefully someone else will chime in and confirm.Good luck

Although they are different OEM part numbers, IIRC the only difference is a larger piston bore for the brake fluid for a stronger pedal feel, and I think this was actually released by Lexus when the 2001s arrived. I think SpectraBlue is right because I think you have to swap a sensor and its an enormous size like 35mm

Go to car-part.com, its connected to the hollander interchange, look up the part and see what cars are listed as donor cars.... Very enlightening on what you find and can learn
