    I'll probably go for the eBay one. I need to redo all my vacuum lines too, so the short ones shouldn't be a problem.

    I just found out I have a whole bunch of giant cracks in my intake tube, so now I gotta figure something out. Do I get another OEM and modify it, or are there aftermarket options that have the vacuum fittings that won't trigger the CEL?

    That one modded intake is still available from eBay. Should I get it? It's only $44 and the other OEM ones I can find are all upwards of $200.

    That'd be freaking awesome. Also, if you have a chance, can you grab me a close-up shot of where you epoxy'd the vacuum fitting into the intake hose? I'd like to get a feel for how to make them fit. Thanks in advance.

    IMO I'd rather go the engine bay noise route than trying to cut through all that crap. Sounds like a giant pain.

    Agreed. After seeing that F-sport setup I think having the diaphragm pointed openly at the firewall is the best option. It would also make maintenance easier too. Less spots for vacuum leaks to sneak in.

    I had to mess around with that grommet too, and I think it'd be too small to funnel in any meaningful noise.

    Can you send me the part numbers you do have?

    The plasma cutter and MIG welder definitely made things easier.

    I still need to have a friend drive my car and see what it sounds like from the outside. Then I'll know if it was really worth it or not!

    I like the taillights a lot. They were the one thing the previous owner did that I actually appreciate!

    It's definitely a subtle change. Your suggestion of cutting the input pipe in chamber III would definitely make things louder. If I can find a smaller MIG welder, I may give it a shot. Last night's biggest challenge was not blasting through the muffler. Those things are thin and the welders at that shop were all pretty heavy duty.

    So yeah, cutting chamber I may not be worth the time.
