Default 2006 IS 250 suspension issues

Hi

I am getting a creaking and rattle from the front suspension but on when turning!

On straight bumpy roads I can hear nothing but when turning the creak and rattle is very noticeable.

The cat has been in the ramp and nothing worn or lose can be found!

Any ideas

168,000 Km so roughly a 100,000 miles!

Never checked the Tie rods but the noise sounds very heavy and creaky for tie rods. I did notice a bit of a twist on the right side rubber shock cover?

It may be related to the issues described in this thread. I'm pretty sure my car is experiencing this, I'll know for sure when I take my car in Saturday.

from my experience, its either the lower ball joints, upper ball joints or inner tie rods. if you have the funds available, with those miles, i would change all of those.

i just did all mine in the front. when i unbolted the inner tie rod, i could move it easily by hand and falls to the ground by itself.
my upper ball joints had no grease it them and one side was very loose and the other side was very hard, but when you moved it, it would make a creaking sound. same with the ball joint that connects to the tie rod.

I think I'll do as you say and replace them all. Hopefully that will stop the rattle and creak.

My friend is having some random issues with his IS350 suspension also. Seems to have some rattle and the shocks seem to be worn out a little too soon.
