Default Front end Suspension!!!

Greetings all and Happy Holidays, as well!
My 92 sc400 needs front end suspension work and being a novice mechanic I am seeking advice on how to proceed. Should I take the car to a regular mechanic or a suspension specialist to first determine what needs to be done, or just start by replacing the lower control arms?
the car has over 220,000 miles.
Thanks for any and all suggestions

What sort of noise do you hear? Do you hear it if the car is sitting still and you turn the wheel back and forth? Do you hear any noise when you hit bumps on the road. If so what does it sound like.. If its a chunking noise its probably ball joints. Those and the lca bushings going out are THE most common problem area on our suspension.

Just need more info.
