lower ball joints
I just purchased OEM tie rods and lower ball joints (2006 AWD) from Sewell. Does anyone know whether or not the OEM LBJs are greased already or will I have to insert grease once I receive them in the mail today? The last thing I want to do is ruin the parts because I drove on them bone dry.
Thanks

Thank you ReyRey305 for that. I am also dropped on BC-R coils. SPC makes a rear kit also? Do you have a link by chance? I'm glad someone posted this. How long have you had them on? And did you notice a better ride quality especially for your tires? Thanks!

My logic to replace was based on a slight tear in my driver's side LBJ and the outer tie rod bushing looking a little worse for wear. I'm not using any coilovers or lowering springs, but I am lowered on RCA blocks. Seeing what the 2GS guys went through on this forum with LBJ failures, I decided to get on top of this. Even if they were perfectly fine, at 89k on the car, I would have purchased the parts to have on standby and continued to inspect at every oil change until needed. LBJs were a serious problem on the 2GS so it really isn't worth the risk to save a couple hundred bucks on those and tie rods. The Sewell price for the ball joints, outer tie rods, and associated hardware was a little over $230 shipped.

here is the link for the arms http://www.circuitmotorsports.net/sp...i-1677041.aspx ( 2006 - 2007 GS )
My Spring rates on the swifts are 12 in front and 11 in rear. My front damper settings are on 13/30 and rear 17/30. I have found this to be a very comfortable ride on low and mid speeds. (daily driving.)
And to answer your question, YES, you will save a lot on tire wear . I originally had F sport springs.
