Default Do you recommend spacers?

I was just thinking about it and after seeing people with them I was wondering if you guys recommend putting spacers on your IS. Also, how would you determine the size of the spacer that you could run without rubbing? I haven't gotten my springs yet but I was thinking about putting spacers on after they get installed.

it depends on the offset of your wheels and if your fenders have room for clearance after your drop...I ran spacers on my 2IS when I had it but these 3IS fenders are different and tight with 20s if you don'tplan on rolling

If you want better handling, flush wheels, and want to stay with stock wheel setup, I highly recommend. I'm currently lowered on coils. No rubbing issues, and no fender mods.
You'll soon find that it's a very satisfying mod for the price because of the look it gives your car, flush and sexy.

I'm selling my wheel spacer setup to whomever is interested. I'm getting new wheels so I have no use for the spacers.

Yeah then I probably won't be able to run spacers on my wheels because they're 20". I wanted to try to get them to poke out on the side a bit but I don't want to do any fender modifications.

you can try a small 5mm spacer and see but you are going springs and not coils so it's a chance so don't go too aggressive

As long as you go with high quality spacers and install them properly, there are zero issues.

My only concern is the size wheel, tire, and lowered height. I just wanted to push the wheel out a bit further then my rim itself does already. Since I have a stretched tire, the lip of the rim pokes out but I wanted it to go further. I decided to go against it though and just avoid spacers because I don't want to mess up what already looks good.

Spacers would be over doing it, save your cash.

Haha alright. Did you get a new set of wheels or are you just going with the ones from your 2IS?

I have a 2011 IS350 F Sport, I would like to just keep it simple for now since the roads in my city are ****ty. My question is, how big of a spacers can I go with so that my stock wheels will sit flush? 20mm spacers? I will be getting a set Tein S Tech lowering springs.
