i read before that RSR doesn't recommend cutting the bump stop

For your H-Tech's, when you cut your front and rear bump stop, you followed the A diagram but how much did you cut ? what unit is 0.8 in ?

Thanks !

I cut the first "doughnut" off from the bottom. It worked out to 3/4", just under .8

Cutting of the bumpstop is recommended but not mandatory.

For the RS-R Springs, do not cut the bump stops. They are designed to work with the original bump stops. For the Tien H-Tech's cut as instructed from them.

The bump stops help protect the suspension from bottoming out and from hitting things that it shouldn't by keeping the shock travel where it should be from factory. By cutting the bump stops, you gain more shock travel but you put more strain on the shocks

So are you saying your an advocate for cutting the bump stops if using the H-Techs? I'm interested in them but the last thing I want to do is to cut into the bump stops on a brand new car. What's the risk if I don't cut them as instructed?

I am an advocate for following manufacturer's instructions

H-Tech says to cut bump stops on their instructions. i am assuming that their springs are made to work well when the bump stops are cut.

RS-R says to leave the bump stops alone and not cut them. Their springs are made to work well without cutting the bump stops.

Can anyone confirm to me if Tiens springs have or are compatible springs for the AWD IS's?
