who here tracks their SC? brakes?

I like the LS400 brakes since the calipers are lighter. To get a similar total weight to the Supra TT calipers, you have to get 2 piece rotors. But your cost there is way higher. Custom pads from Carbotech or Porterfield are the way to go with the LS400 calipers. I run Raybestos ST43's in the SC we race. Even with the cars heavy weight, I can out break E30 and E36 BMW's. Its actually on par with Spec Miata braking. Don't forget to replace your rubber brake lines with braided stainless, and get some good brake fluid like Motul or Super Blue.

Carbotech is another option, but I haven't tried them. I've heard good things from other people running their pads though. 877-899-5024

I haven't tracked my car yet but eventually I will. After having driven on front TT calipers with OEM Toyota pads on the front and stock SC300 rear calipers with Hawk HPS pads in the rear for a couple of years, I picked up a set of TT rear calipers which I'll be installing soon. The more balanced brake bias may not show much on the street (other than slightly less front pad wear?) but on the track there should be a difference in control where it counts.
