Newbie Question: Calipers (help!)
Hello everyone
I own a 2009 is250 and i am interested in upgrading the looks of brakes. Before i made an account, i've been lurking here for a while on brakes, but i couldn't use the search function to my advantage i guess.
My dilemma here is that i dont really need a big brake kit, i dont need new brake lines or all that stuff, but i just want a pretty caliper. I know im going to have to buy pads and a new set of rotors for the new calipers too possibly, but is it possible to just switch out calipers and fit them to maybe some new slotted rotors with new pads?
If it can be done, would i need all the shims and other components i dont know about?
Just trying to upgrade calipers for now, i couldnt even find an answer on google.
Anyone help a newbie out?!
Thanks a lot!

welcome to the forum.... what you could do is upgrade to the IS350 brakes here is a link that will help you out. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sus...-on-is250.html

Yeah, you want some visually good looking brakes without spending over $1.5k on a BBK get IS350 calipers and related parts, paint them up nice, get whatever pads you want, then I'd recommend Centric/PowerSlot slotted rotors to top it off.
