Once you set the camber and torque the nut to spec (120ftlbs I think) you install the cotter through the castellated nut and hole in the threaded portion and bend the protruding split ends to prevent it from backing out.
Torquing the nut to spec is the most important thing!
That split metal thingy going through the threaded portion of the ball joint above the nut IS a cotter pin!

I think they are talking about the nut on the other end

I'll be staying away from these. Hopefully Figs has a solution soon.
