where to put anti squeal grease
which parts am I supposed to put the grease on when doing the brake pads? only the shims? which sides? back of the pad?

and it should go without saying NOT on the rotor, and pad surface, but some people read these forums and don't get told where not to do something...

as said above on the pin and between the shim and back of the pad... no where else. haha

Between the pad and the rotor, most of it on the rotor
Smoke is normal.
edit: j/k don't put any on the pad just on the rotor.
double edit: it help the pads slide more quietly on the rotors, fyi.
