Could I get some quick help on which brake pad is which?

Default Could I get some quick help on which brake pad is which?

As you can see in the pic, two of the pads have a protruding metal piece. Do they go on the inside or outside? The last person that installed has both on one side. That cannot be correct.

Usually put that pad on the inside

As an FYI the metal strip is called a brake pad wear indicator. If installed properly it is suppose to provide early warning chirps/screeches the pads are worn down. Beside warning your pads are worn, hopefully it prevents damage to rotors before the backing plate or rivets score your rotors.
