Default Toe Control Arm DIY Question

I received my Figs Toe Control Arms last week and I am looking forward to putting them on. I have the Lexus Service Manual, but it states that I need the SST 09610-20012 to disconnect the Toe Arm from the Axle. Is there any way to get around this?

Also are there any other tips on replacing the Toe Control Arm?

are you talking about the rear?

if so just unbolt the bolts holding the arm along with the eccentric bolt.

Remove bolt holding the ball joint and use a pitman tool to pull out the balljoint.

replace arm and you should be golden.

you might have to remove any rust on the eccentric bolt if you have it since the FIG sleeves are a really tight fit.. any surface rust will make it difficult to install.

Yes, the rear toe arms. Thanks guys, I appreciate it. I am hoping after I get these rear arms on, new sway bar links and bushings, and my steering bushings replaced I should be set.

So here are the steps I have:

Remove Rear Wheel
Remove Rear Fender Apron Seal
Disconnect ABS Speed Sensor Wire Harness from Toe Control Link
Remove Toe Control Arm

I am having trouble popping the ball joint. The Pitman Arm-puller has too large of a gap for it. Should I buy a Tie Rod Separator and try that?

I need to do this next weekend. You probably need a smaller pitman arm puller. Autozone list 2 sizes in their loan-a-tool section.

Hey, I actually just bought a Tie Rod Separator which worked very well. The only other problem I stumbled across was getting out the bolt that held the arm in place closest to the center of the car. You have to line this bolt up with the notches facing up and down, otherwise you cannot slide it out after removing the nut and cam adjuster.
