I'm attemtping to install Daizen camber bushings front and rear. (Thanks vredniykot )

I took the front control arms off in the driveway with no air tooks in around 2hrs. They are getting pressed out and the new shells pressed in as I type.

The rears are another story. I can't get the bolts/nuts off the rear upper. How the heck do you get them out? They are buried in the rear subframe. Also there is no room to use the ball joint puller so how do you get the ball joint out with the axle in the way?

any help would be great.

In case anyone cares I paid a shop to do the rear upper control arm bushings.

You cant get air tools in there without swivel and extension = lose too much torque.

They got them off evenutally with a lot of muscle and cursing.
The factory service manual probably says to drop the rear subframe. They are really buried in there. Never again.

Best way would have been penetrating lube and just letting it sit… and when it comes to removing such suborn bolts if the air tools don’t work I reach for a hallow metal pipe I have in the garage and use it for leverage…

oh trust me I soaked both sides with liquid wrench and let them sit for a day before even attempting them. It took the shop many hours to get them out.

i always used PB blaster for breaking bolts loose at lexus...that or coca cola. i know it sounds odd but its an old hot rodder trick that desolves oxidation quickly. afterwards you have to clean the area up but both work much better than liquid wrench. come to think of it everyone at work used it, either way try it out, i never had a problem taking them off with air tools when pretreating with pb
