Hey guys I need some expert advice diagnosing my power steering problem.

My power steering recently went out on me but not the conventional way. There was no funny noises, lose of fluid etc...I recently did a power steering flush, reset the ecu and nothing worked. Here's the freaky part, today while driving home it magically started to work for a moments. The pump is making absolutely no noises and it's holding fluid. I don't want to waste money on a pump if it's a simple fix so if someone can STEER me in the right direction it'll greatly be appreciated.
