Default Front UCA proto pics

Adjustable caster and camber, plus and minus. Still working on fitting them up, these are just tacked to maintain geometry in case I need to make adjustments.
Upper sperical is a Aurora Teflon lined precision AM series. Chromo tapered stud, .125 wall sheetmetal. The final design will be fully machine bent, this was laser cut at the bend lines to make it easy to assemble and verify.

cannot wait to get these

BTW mike i let the cat out of the bag earlier in here
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sus...trol-arms.html
for those who dont stalk you on FB like i do, just kidding

i know you said these were just tacked mike but on the production version will all the machine bends be fully stitched up? i assume so but maybe not and on the actual control arm that bolts to the car (not th ball joint) is there gonna be something on the underside actually wrapping the spherical bushing? if not wouldnt a good pothole or something be able to break that weld in the long run?

Not sure what you mean. You mean on the inner mount? Everything will be 100 welded in final product, like I said, that includes the entire edge along the sides an on the end fitting mounts on the inboard side. Potholes are taken up by the shocks, not the upper. The only loads are lateral or if it were to bottom on the inner fender.

the best way to think of it is if there is a slot, it will be either filled with weld or it will be solid.

No plans yet.

Pricing is still TBD. Since I mane some of these parts a year ago, I need to get current quotes to verify final cost. Targeting a similar price to SPC.

since there are pulling action, maybe flip this around and box it? that way, there is a stop if the weld don't hold...lol. just an observation. looking forward to it.

I think you guys are overthinking this, but of course I take all feedback. It will have an enviroment box, but it already has a U channel and there are a few gussets I have left off in this area. remember this is an upper and does not see the load of the shock, just lateral and steering loads. Significantly higher duty Trophy trucks get away with some pretty thinwall UCA designs. These are .125" wall, the stock are .062" or less.

probably mike and i will be the first to admit i know nothing about the design/process needed for making these, they were kust observations i made....i have always trusted your judgement and will continue to do so, so if you say this is more than enough to handle the stress of driving than im with you...
