Default bc coilover extender

So I got the extenders installed through the trunk carpet mat, but they are way to big. its hard and sometimes impossible adjust the dampening so my question is has anybody cut the extenders to shorten them and if its even possible?

i think i saw an old thread that someone cut them to fit but have no idea how he did it. I bought them but never installed. you honestly dont need them unless you want to mess with the dampening all the time. When you put the trunk lining back just keep the part by the coils untucked. I adjusted my car about 3 times after I bought them and the ride is perfect. I will never touch them again.

Yea the extenders are super long, I think they are one length for all their coilover applications. I cut my rear extenders so that just the adjustment ***** are sticking out of the trunk lining. The ***** can be removed by loosening up the hex screw on the side. Hold the ***** next to the coiled shaft and mark where it needs to cut. I used a dremel to cut the coiled shaft. Put back the adjustment **** on the shortened shaft, tighten the hex screw, and you're all set. This also increases the feeling for the clicks when turning the **** because it has less play due to the shortened shaft.

Sorry for the crappy cellphone pics..

I've had Buddy Club coilovers before on my Civic, but I'm not familiar with what exactly "extenders" are. Is it simply an apparatus that attaches to the adjuster that extends the reach out past the trunk liner so one can reach/adjust it easily?

Thanks, to CircuitMS, great guy to deal with. Yea, this beats pulling the lining back each time you want to adjust the rear. Looks good and not very hard to do.

Ah, very nice! Totally viable solution on a Lex; on my Civic it was as simple as removing the plastic access panel. LOL!
