that looks like replacement shims/pins. you can re-use the ones that are on your pads now as long as you dont damage them when you remove them.

theres also a shim kit available..i think its addition to the shim kit.

in the description to the front pads, it says,"It is also recommended that the Shim Kit and Fit Kit are replaced at the same time as the Front Brake Pads."

really interested to know what this kit is for.. im having issues with my front brakes...im think its a fitment issue , since the sound thats coming from my brakes only occurs when im riding under 15mph. maybe this kit will help solve my sound issue.

It's recommended to replace these, but I just cleaned them off really good and reinstalled them. The next time I do my brakes, I'll probably replace them.

if you bring your car to your lexus dealer for brake replacement, they will replace everything including the shims and the fittings plus rotors if they think that it necessary for them.so no wonder it cost you so much when you done it to dealers compare to side shop.

bahhhh...the fitting kit was actually just the metal piece that goes underneath the slider pin!! the pic in sewell's website is soooo misleading, i thought i was something different then what we originally have. grr..
