Default Considering Adding LCBs - Too Stiff?

Considering F&R LCBs via TRD or TOMs.

Not sure if TRD has a rear LCB, or if TOMs has a front one - I really like manaray's TOMs rear LCB.

I have sent SG @ CS an inquiry email just a short time ago this morning.

Tell me if adding these components would make my fillings fall out...

Here's what I've got so far:
F&R TRD Sways
F&R UGO STBs
LTuned S&S
F 18x8.5 / R 19x9.5

I enjoy the ride so far, but still would like the "cornering on rails" feeling the LCBs might finally let me attain.

Your input is appreciated

Also consider TOM'S 6 link kit. It's about $200. Not sure how much improvement they will provide but I'm sure they won't cause too much rough ride. That will be my next mod. Perhaps I should pick them up this weekend?

It won't make it stiffer, just less flex in the car. Braces don't make the ride stiffer since they're not really part of the suspension.

Dexter,

I have the TOM's front and rear LCB as well as the 6 piece brace kit and did not notice any extra stiffness in the ride quality. I also have the L-tuned shocks/springs and TRD sways. Where you feel the braces at work is in the cornering and increase in steering responsiveness. The front and back are better connected and stay planted!

Perfect - this is exactly the feedback for which I was looking; and you suspension matches too mine too (pre-TOMs of course )

TOM'S has a FRONT LCB that actually ties two more points than the TRD one...I'm getting that one soon (after the meet)

TRD does NOT have a rear LCB. Also, since I changed out my exhaust and I no longer have resonators in the way, I'm going to sell my rear TOM'S LCB B-Type for the full box A-Type. Let me know if you're interested...(also after the meet)

IMO, all the bracing does stiffen the car up a bit in terms of ride because it makes the whole chassis stiffer (less flex = less absorption of bumps) but unless you're driving over moguls, you won't really notice it...

Also, you might want to consider swapping out your L-Tuned S/S...coilovers will give you a more "on rails" kinda ride...
